TOPIC: BE A FRIEND OF JESUS
TEXT: JOHN 15:11-16
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Key Verse: “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you” (John 15:14).
MESSAGE:
It is often said that, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”
Mr. Timothy got himself into trouble while doing his work in his printing press. He mistakenly destroyed some sensitive materials he was given to do a customer’s job. It landed him in a serious debt he could not pay. Everybody blamed him and nobody could help him pay the debt.

Then, his old-time friend heard about the problem. He came to him and showed him much love and understanding. Then he helped to pay up the debt and got him back to his feet again! What a good friend!
A true friend is very hard to come by. Our Lord Jesus offered to be a Friend to all boys and girls who surrender their lives to Him. That is the greatest gift anyone can offer.

He is the King of kings. He is the Possessor of all the riches of heaven and earth. He laid down His life for all boys and girls so that they can be free. If you agree to be His friend, He will help you in all situations of life.
Jesus is the best Friend to have because He cares. When you surrender your life to Christ, you get a life partner to help you all the way.

Jesus loves you and wants to be your friend. Repent now, turn away from sin and ask Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour and Lord. Now, you have a Friend for life.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, come into my heart now and be my Friend forever.

4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
