DCLM Sincere Milk 30 July 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God’s Miraculous Provision
Topic: God’s Miraculous Provision
Text: 2 Kings 3:16-20
16And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.
17For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
18And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.
19And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.
20And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
Key Verse: “For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.” 2 Kings 3:17
Message
God can do anything, but He cannot fail. His faithfulness stretches through all generations. He does great things that are past finding out and there is no searching of His understanding. He is God alone and there is none beside Him. Praise the Lord! About two decades ago, a couple was preparing for their wedding. The man and the woman had almost nothing, they believed as they prayed to God Who cannot fail. He promised them that they will have more than their desire. As their wedding drew near, people everywhere started bringing things needed to make the wedding a success. To the glory of God, they fed all their invitees and in fact, they all had something to still take home after the wedding; God made His promise good!
In our text, God wonderfully provided water for His people without wind or rain and the valley was filled with water. They had enough water for themselves and also for their animals without sweating. This is divine provision from God. God is planning to provide for all your needs as He blesses your work, even at this period of global economic problems.
What are your expectations from the Lord this year? He is more than able to cater for all your needs. Cast your burdens upon Him for He careth for you.

Prayer for today: Dear Father, I commit all my needs and desires into Your faithful hands, please take care of me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
