Message
Personal things are things that belong to or affect someone rather than anyone else. It is something that you have to do by yourself that cannot be done for you by someone else. For example, you need to rest or sleep when tired to get strengthened and refreshed. A hungry child needs to eat food with his or her mouth for the hunger to be satisfied. Sin with its punishment is personal, even if it was committed with other people. Likewise, forgiveness is personal. It is only given to the person that asks for it. The sinful child must be sorry for the sins committed and believe in Jesus Christ as his or her Saviour, in order to receive forgiveness and have his or her name written in the Book of Life. This cannot be done for anyone, it is personal.
The choice between heaven and hell is personal. Decide to follow and live for Jesus Christ, even if others would not. Stand by your decision to believe and stand for the truth of the word of God. The Bible says we should not do evil because others do it. Make up your mind that you will not follow the bad examples you see around you. Daniel, Joseph, Samuel and many others chose to live for God. What is your decision? Ask God for grace to live and obey Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today: Dear Father, help me to please You today and every day.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
