Text: Daniel 1:15-20
15And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.
17As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
20And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
Message
Christabel became the best student in the final examination in high school. She had A in all her subjects. She received lots of prizes at the graduation ceremony. Hers was a star performance. Star performance in your studies requires serious efforts and concentration. According to our key verse a man’s wisdom makes his face shine. If you are wise, your face will shine and you will not be afraid of anyone. There are examples of people in the Bible who had star performances in their chosen field, people like: Joseph, Samuel, David, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Esther and the Apostles.

You can become like these people and begin to excel if you come to the God of all knowledge and ask for wisdom that will take you to the top. This can only be possible if you surrender your life to Him and repent from all sins, then pray to God to lead you to the top.
PRAYER: Lord, please give me wisdom to excel in all I do.

4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
