DCLM Sincere Milk 6 December 2024 — I Am Thine, O Lord
DCLM Sincere Milk 6 December 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — I Am Thine, O Lord
Topic: I Am Thine, O Lord
Text: Psalm 119:89-96
89LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.
92Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
93I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.
94I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.
95The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.
96I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Key Verse: “I thine, save me; for I am have sought thy precepts.” Psalm 119:94
Message
I am Thine, o Lord, I have
heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me!
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Consecrate me now to thy service Lord,
By thy pow’r of grace divine,
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine,
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
То the Cross where thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious bleeding side.

The above lyrics of a song titled “Draw me nearer, Blessed Lord” is a pledge of commitment to the Lord as well as a prayer of consecration. This pledge and prayer should be the desire of all friends of Jesus as they journey through life. Solemnly tell Jesus now that you are His.

Prayer for today: Lord, I hand over my life into Your hands from today.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
