DCLM Sincere Milk 19 December 2024 — In Tune With The Master

DCLM Sincere Milk  19 December 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiIn Tune With The Master

Topic: In Tune With The Master

Text: Job 22:21-26

21Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

22Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

23If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

24Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

25Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

26For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Key Verse: “Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.” Job 22:21

Message

When singers or choristers sing the right note and stay in tune, it is very beautiful. But when a singer does not sing the right notes, her voice does not blend with the others, and it doesn’t sound very good. All the singers have to follow the notes assigned to them in music and sing in tune for the music to sound as good as possible.

When we do not follow God’s ways for our lives, we get out of tune – out of harmony with others and with God. It doesn’t sound good to anyone. Words of anger, selfishness, insults, are out of tune with God’s holy word. But if we repent and turn away from our sinful ways like the singers who follow their notes – our lives will be much happier, and we will find ourselves surrounded by His beautiful music. As this new day begins, ask God to help you tune your life every minute to His word, so you can bring harmony and joy to those around you.

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, please keep me in tune with You always.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
