DCLM Higher Everyday 3 April 2025 — Warn And Win Them

DCLM Higher Everyday 3 April 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiWarn And Win Them

Topic: Warn And Win Them

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:10-15

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

12For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

13For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Key Verse: “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences” (2 Corinthians 5:11).

Message

In many areas where we have hazardous equipment, there is always a danger signpost that is placed around the area to warn the trespasser of the impending danger of any violation or intrusion. Similarly, in our text, the word of God tells us about the necessity of warning sinners of the terror of God coming upon all who remain or die in sin.

God has appointed a day in which he will judge this sinful world (Acts 17:30-31). However, in His love and mercy, He gave His Son Jesus to die for the salvation of the whole world. Before leaving the world, He committed the preaching of the gospel to His followers. Like the early disciples, we are to warn sinners and tell them of the loving Saviour who has died to save them from hell fire. We can reach out to the sinners in different ways. We can distribute tracts and other Christian literature, use the social media platforms to share gospel contents, and talk to sinners one-on-one. God will reward those who are obedient in carrying out the task of evangelism diligently.

Quote: We are to warn sinners

Challenge: Warn sinners about the terror of the Lord.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the grace to warn and win the lost to You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
