DCLM Higher Everyday 11 May 2025 — Endure Till The End

DCLM Higher Everyday 11 May 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Endure Till The End

Topic: Endure Till The End

Text: Matthew 10:22-28

22And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

23But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

24The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

26Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

27What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Key Verse: “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 10:22).

Message

Fauja Singh, is believed to be the oldest man to have completed a full marathon. He did it at the age of 100 years. He was able to endure till the end of the marathon, despite the challenges faced due to his age and certain distractions like the younger and faster people. Our journey as Christians is a marathon, and on this journey, trials, temptations, distractions and persecutions will be encountered, but like Fauja Singh, we should set our sights on the finish line and endure till the end.

Studying of the Bible and praying will help in discouragement, when we feel like quitting. The Bible is a necessary tool for preparation on the Christian marathon. The believers who endure till the end will have a reward. After finishing his course well, Apostle Paul said, “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness” (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Christians should always strive to finish the marathon strong. Do not give up due to challenges. Remember, the Holy Ghost is in you, strengthening you with this scripture and other means. Winners always endure.

Quote: Do not give up due to challenges

Challenge: You must strive to finish the marathon strong.

Prayer for today: Father, help me to never stop before the finish line in Jesus’ name.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
