DCLM Sincere Milk 20 June 2025 — Dearly Beloved

DCLM Sincere Milk 20 June 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — “Dearly Beloved”.

TOPIC: “Dearly Beloved”

TEXT: 1 John 4:7-11

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

KEY VERSE: “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10

MESSAGE

Dearly beloved” might sound fancy, but it simplymeans “very loved” or “dearly loved.” In the Bible, God often uses this term to express His deep love for us. You are God’s dearly beloved children, and His love for you is beyond imagination! Isn’t that amazing? It is truly special to become God’s dearly beloved once you have given your life to Jesus.

Think of it like this: Have you ever felt incredibly happy and warm when your dad and mom give you a big, tight hug? Well, that is a small measure of how God’s love feels. He wraps us up in His love, making us feel safe and cherished, just like a dearly beloved family member. And you know what? God wants us to share that love with others too! When we show kindness, share what we have, help a friend, or tell others about Jesus, we are spreading God’s love to those around us.

Remember, you are God’s dearly beloved, and His love for you is never-ending. So, let us celebrate being dearly beloved together and let us share God’s love with everyone we meet!

PRAYER: Lord, help me to share Your love with everyone I meet.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
