Message

A treasure trove refers to precious articles like coins, gold or silver, buried in the earth, for which no owner can be discovered. It has been a practice in the olden days for adventurers to engage in a treasure hunt, to discover such hidden treasures. Books are considered as treasure trove of knowledge which keep the past account of older generations. It is the most significant means of storing and communicating the ever growing knowledge. The past records are indispensable to the present generation as well as the generations to come.

The Bible stands out as a unique book among all religious books. It is the most amazing piece of literature ever known to man. It is unique in its authorship, compilation, preservation, distribution and influence. Above all, it is unique in its content, covering a wide range of subjects including history, prophecies, philosophy, theology, poetry, biographies, letters, dramas, dialogues, manuals and even scientific depositions. God’s word is indeed a treasure trove. Friend, endeavour to read and meditate on it daily for excellence in all you do.

Quote: God’s word is indeed a treasure trove.

Challenge: Embrace the Bible as a peculiar treasure.

Prayer for today: Cause me, O Lord, to delight in thy word.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
