DCLM Higher Everyday 25 August 2025 — His Example In Faithfulness
DCLM Higher Everyday 25 August 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — His Example In Faithfulness
Topic: His Example In Faithfulness
Text: Hebrews 3:1-6
1Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Key Verse: “Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house” (Hebrews 3:2).
Message
Faithfulness is the state of being able to be trusted by others, an indication that one can be relied on. Jesus Christ, our Lord, was totally faithful to the heavenly Father. It is a virtue that is scarce in our world of today and many young people are not faithful to their colleagues, teachers, parents, and others. As seen in our text, Moses was faithful in all that God assigned him to do in doctrine and in building the tabernacle.

As a youth faithfulness must characterise the way we deal with fellow human beings, such as classmates, parents, and teachers. For you to be able to manifest Christ-like faithfulness, you need to be born again, sanctified, and be saturated with the word of God through quality devotional time in the morning and night, and meditating on the word of God. Also, you need to maintain regular Christian fellowship with brethren who believe the Bible. Moses’ faithfulness should be emulated, as it can make you to stand before Kings and eventually get to heaven, a place for faithful people.
Quote: Manifest Christ-like faithfulness
Challenge: Stand up for Jesus in all things.
Prayer for today: Oh Lord, give me the grace to be like you in faithfulness.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
