Topic: The Wise Work Men
Text: Matthew 25:13-18
13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
Key Verse: “And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” Matthew 25:15
Message
Working with God should be the priority of every true and wise friend of Jesus. There are many areas of work in the household of God that we are expected to engage in. God has given each of us talents and abilities to do certain things well. Even if others have the same talent you have, your talent is special because you are unique- with different strength and weakness; likes and dislikes. The way you were brought up, the help and encouragement you get from others, and even the hardship in your life, can help to develop abilities you may not even know you have.

If you are wondering whether God could actually use your abilities, remember that He made you the way He wanted you to be. He put everything inside you that you will ever need to please Him. God is not waiting for you to become an adult, He wants to use you right now. And, in case you think you don’t have a talent, whatever you are good at is your God-given talent. For example singing in the choir, painting, decorating the worship centre, encouraging those who are sad, giving to the needy, visitation and follow-up, teaching the word of God and helping others to grow in their faith. Use your ability for God’s glory.

Prayer for today: Make me a wise worker in Your vineyard, Oh Lord.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
