Topic: Be Careful What You Sow

Text: Galatians 6:6-10

6Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Message

Natural and spiritual principles are both consistent with the sowing principle. This idea is also the foundation of our existence as humans on Earth. We release carbon dioxide and inhale oxygen. Life ends at the point we cease to live according to this rule. The world can exist only because of this principle alone. We have the choice to spread good seeds purposefully or bad seeds accidentally. We unknowingly sow seeds into our lives through the things we read, watch, eat, and listen to. We should be intentional about the type of seeds we sow.

We may consciously plant seeds to benefit humanity; these include our time, talent, and abilities. Everything that God has gifted us with, including our resources, are to be purposefully used to the glory of God and the good of others. Above all, we have the opportunity to sow our hearts, which is priceless, to the Lord. If we voluntarily give our hearts to the Lord, He will change them and plant in them good seeds that would bring forth good fruits.

Prayer for today: Almighty God, help me to continue to plant good seeds.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
