Text: Psalm 19:1-5
1(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Message
Peter, James and John went with Jesus to the mountain where He was transfigured before them. The glory of God appeared upon Jesus to the point that “His raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.” (Mark 9:3) He was radiating God’s glory.

To show forth God’s glory means to shine your light for others to see and glorify God your Father Who is in heaven. It also means to shine forth in the midst of darkness and doom. The psalmist in our Bible passage proclaimed the glory of God. The angels and the creatures in heaven spend all the time exalting the name of God and giving glory to Him, then we all must give glory to God.
We must show God’s glory in the way we live and the way we conduct ourselves with others. Be a shining light before your friends, neighbours, classmates, parents and teachers. When they see your good works, they will glorify your Father Who is in heaven. If you are still a sinner, repent today so that your life will become a good example and so you can draw many sinners to Christ.

Prayer for today: I pray for grace to shine forth God’s glory in every area of my life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
