DCLM Higher Everyday 10 November 2025 — Iniquity Inventors
DCLM Higher Everyday 10 November 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Angel Feeds A Prophet
Topic: Iniquity Inventors
Text: Romans 1:18-32
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Memory Verse: “Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions” (Psalms 106:39).
Message
‘The anointed cherub that covereth’ (who was Lucifer), walked in perfection from the beginning until he corrupted his ways when iniquity was found in him; then he sinned as recorded in the book of Ezekiel 28. This corruption did not stop with him as he was able to influence other angels in heaven (Revelation 12:9). On earth, Satan also corrupted mankind. He that committeth sin is therefore, of the devil, the ace inventor of iniquity, “for the devil sinneth from the beginning.”

This iniquity in the hearts of men manifests itself in different forms of departure from God’s standard. We hear of new depravities of mankind in the news and social media platforms every day. While some are yet to be revealed, many are daily being marketed to the ever ready corrupt consuming public. “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant” (Isaiah 24:5). We must stand for Christ always. We must neither invent nor support evil inventions. Today is World Science Day for Peace and Development. Pray as led.
QUOTE: Satan also corrupted mankind.
PRAYER: Holy Father, let not my creativity lead to my ruin, in Jesus’ name.
CHALLENGE: Do all you can to avoid inventions of iniquity.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
