Topic: Accepted Time
Text: 2 Corinthians 6:1,2
1We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
KEY VERSE: “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
Message
Accepted time simply means the perfect moment to do something, especially when it is about making decisions or taking action. It is a perfect time when everything is just right, and it feels just right to act. Ben, like his siblings and friends, hoped to go to high school because it promised a brighter future. One day, he heard about high school entrance exam forms being available. Excitedly, Ben’s dad gave him the money to purchase one. But Ben forgot to get the form at the right time. When he remembered later, he hurried to the school office, only to find out that the deadline had passed. Ben was disappointed; he missed his chance to get admission into high school. While his friends moved on to high school, he could not join them, and he regretted his actions deeply.

There are certain things in life that are better done before it is too late because the consequences of delaying them can be serious. And there’s nothing more serious than not accepting salvation through the Lord Jesus, which is the only way to escape God’s judgment. Are you a sinner? Give your life to Jesus because to delay your salvation is dangerous. There is no better time to be saved than now!
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to serve You till the end
FURTHER READING: Romans 13:11-14
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
