DCLM Higher Everyday 12 November 2025 — The “I CAN” Confession
DCLM Higher Everyday 11 November 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The “I CAN” Confession
Topic: The “I CAN” Confession
Text: Philippians 4:10 -13
10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Key Verse: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
Message
“Let the world hear you confess what God’s ability is in you. They have heard your confession of weakness and failure. Now change your song and sing the song of a victor,” submitted E.W. Kenyon. Imperceptibly, your confessions about your life situations and circumstances bind or loosen you, limit or expand you. Every cell and neuron of your body and brain listens and responds to your words of confession. The Scriptures rightly affirms in Proverbs 18:21 that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” Yes, that is your confession. Apostle Paul knew this fact and secret; no wonder, despite all the odds that confronted him which would have ordinarily crushed him and his ministry, were turned for the furtherance of the Gospel.

What are the forces confronting you presently? Look at them in the face and begin to confess the promises of God, the expectations of your heart and you will see them turning around for the best. Remember your confession reveals your inner disposition – your mental attitude, whether positive or negative. Moreover, live holy before God and man.
Quote: Be positive always
Challenge: Your confession is your possession.
Prayer for today: Help me, Lord, to make positive confessions always.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
