DCLM Higher Everyday 30 November 2025 — Walk By Divine Wisdom
DCLM Higher Everyday 30 November 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Walk By Divine Wisdom
Topic: Walk By Divine Wisdom
Text: James 3:13-18
13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Key Verse: “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy” (James 3:17).
Message
Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge to solve problems. To be a true success in life, you must lean on divine wisdom, which means obeying God’s Word and living by it because the word of God is the wisdom of God. Great men and women of faith distinguish themselves by following God’s word and abiding by it implicitly. King Solomon applied wisdom to determine the mother of the living child (1 Kings 3:23-28).

The wisdom of God is freely given to youths who are in covenant relationship with God. You can never understand what it means to be truly born again and all that you stand to enjoy as a Christian until you make up your mind to walk in divine wisdom. Divine wisdom is different from the wisdom of the world, which is also known as secular wisdom. It is also different from satanic wisdom. Divine wisdom is from above and given by God to provide grace and strength for Christians to live and act right. Do you lack divine wisdom? Ask Him to fill you with it.
Quote: Ask Him to fill you with divine wisdom
Challenge: Recognize the need for God’s wisdom.
Prayer for today: Give me Lord, the wisdom that is from above.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
