Text: 1 John 4:7:10
7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Message
Love is a four-letter-word thatdescribes or defines the nature of God. When the Bible says God is love, it means God personified l0ve. His words show love, His actions show love and His character and personality show love. God’s love is pure and perfect, unlike any other love we see in the world. While people’s love often depend on feelings or emotions, God’s love goes beyond warm feelings. It is not based on conditions or what we can do for Him; or because you deserve to be loved. God loves us freely, deeply and unconditionally.

God showed His love for you by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for you. This saved you from sin and from going to hell. John 15:13 says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” This is amazing! Friends usually wouldn’t do this; they wouldn’t give their life for friendship.
To truly value God’s love and the gift of Jesus, if you are a sinner, repent, turn away from your wrong doings and surrender your life to Christ. If you are already following Jesus, keep serving God and sharing His love with others. Let the love of God spread to all around you.

Prayer for today: God, help me to always be thankful for Your love and to share that love with others.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
