Text: Jeremiah 29:10-14
10For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Message
“The brothers of Joseph thought it was all over for him when they sold him to the Ishmaelites. Jacob lost all hope as he believed the story told him that a wild beast had killed his beloved son. Even Joseph would have wondered how his dreams of becoming great would come to pass when he was sold to a strange land as a slave. But God is faithful. Isaiah 55:9 says “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” So every step taken by Joseph that were full of uncertainties, fear, doubt, suffering, pain, injustice was the pathway to his glorious future.

Have you thought about God’s plan for your life? In the midst of fierce hardship, insecurity, bad economy and uncertainties in the world today; God’s plan for His children still stands. He brought a message of hope to the Israelites through prophet Jeremiah and the same message is for you today. God has the plan to save you, care for you, keep you and eventually take you to heaven at the end if only you surrender all to Him. There is no better plan than the redemption plan provided by God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, I surrender my life to You today, take it and fulfil Your plan concerning me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
