Text: Matthew 10: 40-42
40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Message
The Bible which is the word of God says that “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:6). Many children are stingy and they do not like to share their possessions with others. Even when their parents give them money for offering, they spend it on snacks and refuse to put it in the offering bag! Such a bad attitude is noticed by God and it will attract His punishment. Whenever your parents give you money for offering, put it in the offering bag and do not spend it.

Children of God must not be stingy! You must help those who are in need if you can and God will surely bless you. Are you stingy? Do you hide your snacks behind your back when you see your friends coming? God does not bless stingy children therefore, you must stop being stingy today! What God expects from you is to cultivate the attitude of giving. There are many children around you who are suffering. You can give out the clothes, textbooks and writing materials you no longer use. This should be done with the permission of your parents. As you do all these, God will bless you in return.

Prayer for today: Dear God, give me the grace to give willingly and share with others who do not have.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
