Text: Revelation 21:21-27
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Message
Living in a more decent and befitting home with state of the art facility is the dream of every child in a family irrespective of where they have always resided with their parents or guardians. From the description, the beauty of the transparent streets of gold, decorated with twelve resplendent pearly gates can only be better experienced than imagined. It transcends the capabilities of even the most skilled writer’s expression.

The revelation of the transparent golden streets of heaven described by John the beloved can be likened to a telescopic view which only captured in part and not in whole the architectural aerial view of the Holy City. Heaven is God’s eternal dwelling place. It cannot harbour or accommodate sin. As true children of God look forward with excitement and joy towards the realization of this glorious destination, all youths who cover up their sins, postponing the day of salvation and backsliders shall regrettably be denied entrance at the beautiful pearly gate to the streets of gold. Don’t miss it.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the grace to make heaven at last.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
