DCLM Sincere Milk 2 March 2026 — Are You Sure?

DCLM Sincere Milk 2 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Are You Sure?

Topic: Are You Sure?

Text: Romans 10: 8-10

8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Key Verse: “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10

Message

The Sunday School teacher, sister Mabel, was often disturbed each time she observed the conduct of MaryAnn. Mary, though very quiet and answers Bible questions intelligently, easily finds fault, gossips, hardly forgives others, finds it difficult to pray, is stubborn and sometimes, tells lies. Mrs. Mabel decided to carry out personal interview concerning the salvation of her Sunday School children beginning with Mary. Mary, are you sure you are a friend of Jesus? Can you remember the day you repented of your bad ways and asked Jesus to forgive you and make you His Friend? “I am not sure,” Mary quickly answered. “But I like coming to Church with my mom.” There is one thing on earth that you should never doubt; that is, the salvation of your soul. Salvation is doubtful where the fruits of holy and righteous conduct are absent.

Are you sure you are saved from sin? Have you believed in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Saviour? Are your thoughts, words and actions righteous before God and others? Note: righteous living – a life that overcome sin, is the fruit and proof of salvation.

Prayer for today: Lord, I have turned away from all my sins. Give me the grace to live righteously every day.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
