DCLM Daily Manna 3 March 2026 — The Peace Of God

DCLM Daily Manna 3 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Peace Of God

TOPIC: The Peace Of God (DCLM Daily Manna 3 March 2026)

KEY VERSE: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid – John 14:27

TEXT: John 14:26-31 (KJV)

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

In 1555, Dr. Nicholas Ridley, English bishop of Rochester, was sentenced to be burned at the stake in England because of his witness for Christ. On the night before Ridley’s execution, his brother offered to remain with him in the prison chamber to comfort him. Ridley declined the offer, saying, “I intend (God willing) to go to bed, and sleep as quietly tonight, as ever I did.” Because he knew the peace of God, he could rest in the strength of the everlasting arms of his Lord.

Christ said to His disciples, “my peace I give unto you”. As if in the eye of a hurricane, Jesus’s disciples were troubled at the news of His imminent death. Before then, they were all crammed into a room, worrying about their future. Jesus spoke these words to calm their nerves and encourage them. He promised to ask the Father to send the Comforter (the Holy Ghost) to fill the void and to guide them in their future endeavour.

The world is in the throes of chaos and anarchy. There is almost universal absence of peace in the souls of men and within the world around us. We might think of the brutality and disregard for the image of God in man, as displayed in the pro-abortion efforts that some ideologists are campaigning to sustain. Believers must not be dismayed since the Scripture had predicted increaseof evils like this and remain dogged in preaching the truth, and condemning sin.

Jesus offers a unique and lasting peace to believers, a peace that surpasses all worldly understanding (Philippians 4:7), and can be found, even amidst life’s tedious challenges. By trusting in Christ’s presence and relying on His power to overcome anxieties and fears, we can still have rest in the midst of the most challenging situations. This peace is not dependent on external circumstances; it comes from a deep inner connection with God. Wherever God rules, the result is peace that passes all human understanding. Wherever He is truly present with His people, peace will reign and the world will be better.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Enduring peace is not the absence of crisis but the presence of
God even in crises

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
