DCLM Sincere Milk 18 March 2026 — God: The Righteous Judge

DCLM Sincere Milk 18 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God: The Righteous Judge

Topic: God: The Righteous Judge

Text: Psalm 7:8-11

8The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

9Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

10My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

11God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Key Verse: “Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.” Psalm 7:9

Message

Although she could have gotten a much better score if she was serious with her studies, Cathy was not happy with the 40% she scored while her neighbour scored 90% in the examination. She got what she worked for. Justice demands that she be awarded what she worked for and thus deserved.

God is a righteous Judge. Everything He does is always just. Everyone who desires to spend eternity with Him in heaven must repent of all sins. Anyone who rejects His love and dies in sins will spend eternity in the lake of fire. God is fair, He will not pack witches, thieves, liars and other sinners that refuse to repent together with saints in heaven.

Prayer for today: Dear Father, I surrender my heart to You, cleanse me from all sins, and help me to obey You today and always.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
