Text: Matthew 10: 40 – 42
40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Message
Little deeds of kindness, little words of love, make our Earth an Eden, like heaven above. Kindness is a core value that guides us to treat others with respect and love. It is a gift that everyone can afford to give to others. It is a way to make this world a better place to live in. Acts of kindness are deeply rooted in the Bible.

Jesus emphasized kindness in His teachings, urging youths of this generation to love their neighbours who could be their class mates, church members and everyone that crosses their path. Following His example, will make a significant difference in the lives of those around us. There is no act of kindness that is ever wasted. Even the smallest light can brighten the darkest room. Kindness is a component of the fruit of the Spirit which is rewardable with the crown of life. True kindness can only be manifested by those who have given their lives to Christ and have been cleansed from sin. Go to Jesus and He will purge you and empower you to possess kindness.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the grace to show kindness and love.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
