KEY VERSE: And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. – Revelation 6:7

TEXT: Revelation 6:5-8 (KJV)

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

The 20th Century preacher, Charles Spurgeon once wondered about “ What can be too severe a penalty for those who reject the incarnate God, and refuse to obey the command of His mercy?” He provided the answer: “They deserve to be flooded with wrath and they shall be; for all who rebel against the Saviour, ‘wrath has come upon them to the uttermost’. God’s indignation is no trifle. The anger of a holy, just, omnipotent and infinite Being is above all things to be dreaded; even a drop of it consumes, but to have it poured upon us is inconceivably dreadful”

In reality, human history records a litany of wars, natural disasters, famines, and all, but the future holds some far more intense and catastrophic events, which are completely unique. It is an unprecedented, horrendous judgment that will flow from the throne seat of the Lamb in waves and pervade the entire world. All the indulgences, impunities, Christ-rejection and human-rebellion will face accountability. It is the onset of the seven-year great tribulation, the beginning of the end or the beginning of the Lamb’s final undiluted wrath on sinful humanity. This is the pattern of divine wrath on all nations and peoples who reject the Christ and His offer for remission and reconciliation with God.

The picture of the great tribulation is particularly terrifying just a sit is tearful. It presents not only a disturbance of the relations of nations, the rising of nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, but also internecine collisions, benefiting no one. The dreadful epoch will also produce bloody commotions all over the face of the earth, characterised by famine, wars, pestilences, destitution and death of vegetation and massive depopulation.

What is the path of wisdom in the light of these frightening and fearful apocalypse? The Apostle Peter implores believers: “What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness… and seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless.” Sinners and backsliders should immediately and earnestly turn to the Lord in repentance and receive grace to be sons and daughters of God.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
