Message

According to Statista, an online publishing outfit on music and musicians, the global music industry made a whooping sum of $28.6 billion in revenue in the year 2023 alone. Music is a very powerful tool that can evoke the feelings of joy, sadness, fear and love. Miriam, the elder sister of Aaron and Moses along with other godly women expressed their praises to God Almighty in songs of victory after crossing the Red Sea. With a simple musical instrument, they celebrated the epoch moment in the life of the nation of Israel. The song was inspiring, godly, directed to worship God and recognize His incomparable greatness. It was sung by the children of God and not people without any relationship with Him. God was mightily glorified.

Music in contemporary times tends to promote self, materialism and immorality. As a Christian youth, you should be careful about your choice of music. Some songs are dedicated to Satan. The source, purpose, and life of the singer must be taken into consideration. The song you sing or listen to will either attract or repel the presence of God.

Quote: Be careful about your choice of music

Challenge: Songs attract or repel God’s presence.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me reasons to always praise You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
