DCLM Higher Everyday 24 April 2026 — God’s Attribute – Omnipresence

DCLM Higher Everyday  24 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God’s Attribute – Omnipresence

Topic: God’s Attribute – Omnipresence

Bible Reading: Jeremiah 23:22-27 (KJV)

22But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

23Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

24Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

25I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

27Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

MEMORY VERSE: “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 23:24).

Message

A man once mistakenly gave a higher offering than intended and felt unhappy about it. According to the story, God told him, “Don’t worry, you gave the lower amount you had in mind.” This story highlights a powerful truth that our intentions speak louder in heaven than our actions.

God sees our hearts, motives, and secret sacrifices. While people judge outwardly, He looks deeper. “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). This truth should shape how we live, knowing God sees why we do what we do. For those faithfully praying for lost souls, struggling families, healing, or academic success, be encouraged and know that God hears and will answer in due time. He is not a distant observer but an ever-present help. He will never leave you because He is faithful to His promises. Fear loses its power when we remember that God is with us. Walk boldly in faith, knowing that He watches, protects, and guides you. Live confidently because He sees, He knows, and He rewards our faithfulness.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, help me to be conscious of Your presence.

CHALLENGE

Live with the consciousness of His presence.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
