1A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
KEY VERSE: “O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.” Habakkuk 3:2
Message
Children don’t love to play with fire, they usually run away from it. Our topic does not mean the actual fire that we see with our naked eyes or can touch with our physical hands. No, this is a spiritual fire which must be lighted spiritually when friends of Jesus are no longer serious with the things of God.
Many of them would rather play football than go for evangelism. Some would sit and press their phones to surf the internet for hours instead of praying. Many begin to miss fellowship meetings for one excuse or the other.
Thus, the necessity to pray that the fire of revival should burn and bring about revival in the lives of friends of Jesus. Are you getting lukewarm in the things of God? Then, you need to pray that the fire of revival should burn in your life and make you love the things of God and serve Him acceptably.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, revive me and keep me burning for You.

Psalm 85:6,7
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
