9Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Message
After school, Debby, a girl who is seven years old, felt thirsty. Although the water dispenser was close by her and she could easily pick a cup, pour the water, and drink, she burst into tears, saying, “mom, I’m thirsty!” She wanted her mom to come and serve her water. She had to suffer the thirst for a long time, this was unnecessary.
Have you ever thought about whether you can overcome temptations you have given in to before? The answer is that you can. Yes, you can! You can overcome the temptations.
God has provided a way for you to overcome every temptation He allows to come your way. He is a faithful God. So, why then do people fall into temptations? It is because they do not make use of the grace and power provided by God.
Beyond our regular prayer time, seek God daily for enough grace for the day. Read and keep His words in your heart. Pray for grace to overcome temptations and be watchful. Joseph, Daniel, Esther, Enoch, Ruth, and many more overcame. You too will overcome.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, give me grace to overcome temptations every day.
