Bible Reading: Psalm 92:1-5 (KJV)
1(A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.) It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
2To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
3Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
4For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
5O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

Message
God is good and He is happy when we, His children, do G good things. Do you always think of what good thing you can do to make the Lord happy? Phinehas’ decision to get rid of immoral behaviour among the children of Israel was good and God was pleased with him. David’s plan to build a house for God was good and God commended him.
Although it is common to find people including children, doing or saying things that are not good, remember it is only those who do what is good and acceptable that will be blessed by God; . Above all, there is something that is very good to do, so good that every living soul ought to do it daily.
Our Bible passage says, “It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises unto the name of the most High:” How often do you remember to do this good thing – giving thanks to God and singing praises unto His Name? Of all His goodness – salvation, deliverance, provision, protection, the only thing you can do to show appreciation to God is to praise Him. Praise Him in the morning, praise Him at noontime, praise Him in the evening and praise Him in time of joy or pain. Let your whole life be a source of thanks-giving and praises to the Lord wherever you are.

Lord, I thank You for all Your goodness to me.
