TOPIC: “I AM FREE”
TEXT: ROMANS 8:1-5
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Key Verse: “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2).
MESSAGE:
Panam who was a sinful child, repented of his sins and became a friend of Jesus in a Christian program organized for children some years ago. There was a great change in his life. He stopped lying, stealing, fighting and other bad things he was doing. But after some time, he went back to his old way of lying and fighting. He tried to stop doing bad things, but he could not.
One day, while the teacher in the children church was teaching, he made reference to Romans 8:2 and said, “Jesus has power to save sinners from sin and also keep them from sinning!” Panam was glad to hear it. He repented of his sins and asked God to help him not to go back to sin. He now lives a righteous life and does not go back to sin again.
Have you gone back to sin after you became a friend of Jesus? Don’t continue to live in disobedience and sin. Jesus saves from sin and gives His friends power to say “No” to temptations to do bad things. Repent of your sins and ask God to help you overcome temptations every day. Pray now and join other children who daily live a life of victory over sin and Satan.
Prayer: Dear Father, set me free from sin and give me power never to go back to sin again.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)

3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
