Text: Ephesians 2:18-22
18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Message
Tracy was living with grandma Esther who was a very pleasant Christian lady. On the other hand, Tame who was Tracy’s younger sister was living with their parents. One day, Tame told Tracy while she went visiting with her parents that she should please tell her grandma to buy her a toy. Tame did not know that she had access to the pleasant Christian lady because she was her grandma also. Few years after, Tame came to know that grandma Esther was her grandma who loved her as well as she did Tracy. Friends of Jesus have access to God the Father through the Holy Spirit because of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross. The word “Access” means right of way; it also means bringing one to enter through the assistance or favour of another.

According to our Bible passage, apostle Paul used the word “Access” to picture God’s grace as a place of safety for friends of Jesus and also an assurance of getting whatsoever we want from God the Father. When you’re born again, you become a member of God’s great family. You now have freedom to come before the throne of grace to obtain help as you pray and trust the Lord. Do not allow yourself to be cheated, the door of God’s blessing is open for you.

Prayer for today: Lord, I come to You to obtain favour and help in time of need.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
