TOPIC: AGAPE LOVE
TEXT: JOHN 15:9-14
9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

MESSAGE:
Agape love is one that is unconditional and perfect. It is the love of God for mankind in sending His only begotten Son to take the place of sinners. There was the story of a young man who was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging for the offence of murder. After the sentence was passed, the Judge asked if he had anything to say before he would be taken into custody. Immediately, a man in white apparel appeared before the Judge and said he was taking his place to die for him, the Judge was amazed.

This story represents what Jesus Christ has done for you on the Cross of Calvary. He came to die for your sins, He laid down his life for your transgressions, no man can do what He has done for you. Your father, mother, brother, sister, uncle and aunty cannot die for you no matter how much they love you, only Jesus came to this world to die for your sins, that is why you should not continue to live in sin.
The choice is yours today to accept Him into your life; all you need is to confess your sins and promise not to go back to them anymore and Jesus will receive you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Lord, I accept Your sacrifice for me, surrender my life unto You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
