Text: John 3:16-18
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Message
An open cheque is a cheque that has no monetary amount written in it, but is already signed. Victor was given a blank cheque by his uncle when he came visiting for the holidays. His uncle told him to write any amount in it, take it to the bank and cash it, he was so happy.

According to our Bible passage, God has given everyone in the world an open cheque to eternal life. He did that by sacrificing His only begotten Son to die for the sins of mankind, that is an open cheque. The only thing you are expected to do is to accept that open cheque by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Fill any amount in the cheque by writing down all the bad things you have done in the past and promising Jesus never to go back to them.
If you have not accepted the open cheque of Jesus, it is available for you while you are still alive, seize the opportunity and accept Jesus into your life and promise never to go back to your sins anymore and the Lord will forgive you. Remember, the acceptance of this special open cheque will attract great blessings into your life.

Prayer for today: I surrender my life to Jesus and promise never to go back to sin anymore.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
