Message

People suffer for many reasons. But is there any blessing in suffering? Jesus tells us that it is only those who suffer or are persecuted for righteousness’ sake that will be blessed by God. The truth of the message of Jesus existed from the foundation of the world that those who love God shall be hated and punished for their righteous life by wicked people who reject and disobey the instructions of God. It started with Abel to Noah, Joseph and all the prophets to Christ Himself and His disciples. In fact, the Bible says ‘all who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2 Timothy 3:12)
Has someone called you names, laughed at you, warned you to stop loving Jesus and even punished you because he knows you are a friend of Jesus? If you have not suffered for Jesus yet, be ready, that a time is coming that you will be hated because of your love for Jesus and for your righteous lifestyle. Jesus says that when you are reviled, persecuted; with evil words said against you falsely, you should rejoice and be glad because this will bring God’s blessings on you now and you will inherit the kingdom of heaven.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Lord, give me the grace to rejoice when I suffer for doing what is right before You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
