4They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
5Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
Key Verse: “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1
Message
The lion is the king of the forest, also known as the king of beasts (other animals). The lion is a natural hunter with powerful forelegs, teeth and jaws for pulling down and killing its prey. The characteristics of the lion make it to stand out in the animal kingdom. Some of them are:
Confidence – this animal knows the strength it has and this makes it confident/bold. – the lion is loaded with Courage – courage and is not afraid of any animal, even human beings. Fearlessness – it goes about seeking food without being afraid of any danger to its life. Powerful – this animal has a lot of strength and power to wrestle with any animal.

The righteous Christian is compared to lion because of these characteristics. He is bold, confident, courageous, fearless and powerful. He is not afraid of Satan and his agents because he knows what God has deposited in him. Pray that the characteristics will be seen in your life so that you can live the Christian life well and make it to heaven at last. Tomorrow we shall learn from the examples of some children of God who were as bold as a lion.

Prayer for today: Lord, make me as bold as a lion
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
