Topic: Change Your Mind Set
Text: Jeremiah 29:11-14
11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
Key Verse: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11
Message
The mind functions like a speed of light. It changes from time to time and that’s why you discover that you will be thinking of something now and the next moment your mind switches to another thing. There is no human being on earth that does not make use of the mind.
The children of Israel suffered in Babylon for many years and their minds were set on suffering and hardship; but after seventy years of captivity, the Lord promised to visit them and deliver them because He knew the thought He had towards them. It is the thought of peace and not of evil to give them an expected end.
As the Lord had good thoughts towards the children of Israel, so the Lord is thinking about you too. You must therefore change your mindset and be positive. Whatever challenge you may be going through. The Lord is aware of it and He is thinking of you. He will do good in your life.
All you need to do is to commit everything into His hand. Do not keep quiet, God is ever ready to hear you. He will fulfil His will in your life.

Prayer for today: Father, give me a positive mindset to accept the good plans You have for me today.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
