MEMORISE: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:14
READ: Genesis 1:26-27
- And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Mark 5:1-43 , Numbers 8-10
MESSAGE:
To choose oneself is to be content with ones personality in Christ Jesus. This will make you stand firm and never bow to peer pressure. Unfortunately, many teenagers don’t know what the Bible says about them. Thus it becomes easy to admire ungodly people and want to be like them.There are also some teenagers who are not happy about how God created them so they resort to piercing, tattooing and doing all sorts of things to recreate themselves but, unknown to them, those things cannot change who they truly are. If one expresses ugliness from inside in character, artificial make-up is just a waste of time.
The Bible says you were made in the image and likeness of God; this should be the foundation for accepting yourself the way God created you. My child, if you have a revelation of Gods unconditional love for you, it will become easy to love yourself as God made you and accept others. Also, you will produce good fruits and people will want to be like you instead of you wishing to be like others. Get the true definition of who you are in Gods word and believe it.
KEY POINT:
Know who you are in Christ.
HYMN: ‘Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus
- ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take him at his word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.
CHORUS
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!
- O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood! - Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
just from sin and self to cease;
just from Jesus simply taking
life and rest, and joy and peace. - I’m so glad I learn’d to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Saviour, Friend,
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
