TOPIC: CRY UNTO GOD
TEXT: PSALM 102:1-5
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
Key Verse: “Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily” (Psalm 102:2).
MESSAGE
Babies have only one means of communicating their needs to their mothers or caregivers; this means is through crying. When a baby needs food, breast milk or special attention, he would cry. He will not keep quiet and suffer in silence.
When a child grows and becomes a young girl or boy, she or he is not expected to cry when she/he needs attention, but simply ask for whatever she or he needs. This is what is expected of God’s children. We are to cry unto God when we are in need.
Crying unto God simply means praying with full concentration and faith. When things are not going on well with you or your parents, cry unto God. You must understand that God loves and cares for His children. He is not happy when we are suffering. But He wants us to commit everything into His hands.
As you cry unto God, He will help you and give you victory over every battle of life. Write your prayer requests below and spend time to pray on them. Be prepared to share your testimonies.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I pour out my heart’s desire unto You, hear me and send help unto me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
