Text: 2Corinthians 5:17-21
17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Key Verse: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” 2 Corinthians 5:21
Message
A story was story of a man who was sentenced to death in a court of law. On the day of his execution, he was told to say his last prayer. As he was about to do it, someone appeared from the crowd and said he was taking the place of the man to die for him. The condemned man was then set free, while the strange person who appeared, took his place.
This is what Christ came to do for us while we were in sin and destined for hell. Christ came to exchange His life for ours by dying on the cross of Calvary. He does not want us to end up in hell fire. We have a duty not to allow the death of Christ to be in vain in our lives. Surrender your life to Him today so that He can exchange your sins for His righteousness. A sinful child should acknowledge that he is a sinner, repent and confess all his sins to God. Ask for forgiveness and cleansing in the blood of Jesus Christ. Then open his heart wide for Him to come and reign forever.

Prayer for today: I repent today and ask You Lord to exchange my sins for Your righteousness.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
