DCLM Sincere Milk 19 March 2025 — Do Not Doubt God’s Word
DCLM Sincere Milk 19 March 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Do Not Doubt God’s Word
Topic: Do Not Doubt God’s Word
Text: Colossians 3:14-17
14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Key Verse: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
Message
Someone said that if you want to doubt anything, doubt your doubt, not God’s word. God’s word is God’s bond. The psalmist says, ‘I will worship toward thy holy temple and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name’ (Psalm 138:2). The only thing in the whole world that God has placed above His name is His word- His promises which cannot change. Doubt often comes out of fear or unbelief but faith in God will make a boy or girl to trust God and His words. So, put your confidence in God, not in yourself or anyone who may have made promises to you. The Bible says, “He that trusteth in his own heart (self) is a fool:” (Proverbs 28:26a).

Do not be like Thomas, one of the disciples, he doubted the word of Christ even after walking with Him for almost three years (John 20:25). Have faith and do not doubt His words. He will not fail. As you read and meditate on His words, He will help you to overcome your doubts and unbelief. So, learn to walk by faith and not by sight.

Prayer for today: Father, help me to trust Your word at all times.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
