Text: Exodus 2:1-10

Key Verse: “And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.” Exodus 2:10

Message

The story of Moses is an interesting and faith inspiring one. It shows that God is in charge of our lives even before we were born. It also reveals that God’s plan and purpose for each one of us will surely be achieved. No one on earth can destroy God’s purpose for you. When Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, realized that his plan to stop the Israelites from becoming powerful was failing, he ordered every Hebrew baby boy to be killed.

It was at this time that Moses was born. By divine intervention, Pharaoh’s daughter saved him from drowning, giving him the name Moses – drawn out of water. It was God that ordered the life of Moses. He saw when he was conceived, born and put in the basket. He directed Moses to where Pharaoh’s daughter was. It was a divine arrangement. Isn’t it wonderful that God could see you before you were even born? He could see you grow inside your mother and He formed you exactly the way He wanted you to be. God knew that Moses would be a great leader, and so He carefully worked on His life allowing some weaknesses that would make Moses depend on Him and be humble. In the same way, God loves and cares for you. He brought you into the world to fulfill special purpose. You must follow Him to discover His purpose and live by it so as to be blessed.

PRAYER: Lord, let Your purpose for me be fully accomplished

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
