DCLM Higher Everyday 2 April 2026 — Failure To Stardom

DCLM Higher Everyday 2 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — From Failure To Stardom

Topic: From Failure To Stardom
Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
MEMORY VERSE: “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil…And God granted him that which he requested (1 Chronicles 4:10).
Message

“Only God has the power to transform our lives from nothing to something. In times of struggle, remember to keep praying and be patient with yourself”, Divine Candy submitted. The sovereign God controls the universe and things in it. He has the power to save, heal and deliver. Interestingly, He also has the power to raise one from the valley to the mountain top. Jabez in our text was a man of sorrow but he realized the need of a change in his life; he approached God through prayer and received his desired miracle.

Are you in need of a change in your life? It could be the need of salvation of your soul so that you can escape hell and make heaven at last. It could be a need of good health or wisdom to excel in your academics. Whatever is the situation, you only need to call upon God like Jabez did and you will be fine. The journey to stardom begins with salvation in Christ which provides access to the throne of grace. You can change your situation through prayers.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Lord, change all negative circumstances in my life to positive ones.
CHALLENGE: God has the power to change your situation.
GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
