102I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
103How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
105NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
MEMORY VERSE: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105).
Message
Spurgeon, a spiritual icon of all times has this to say: “Oh, what a blessed thing it is when a soul is enabled to feed upon the Word of God, to feed upon the Christ of God, to feed upon the grace of God! You cannot go wrong in so doing.” The word of God is the breath of God. Everything about His personality, attributes, salvation plan and more are revealed to humanity through His word. His word is infallible, eternal and powerful. True believers depend on the word in all matters of life. The word is regarded as a lamp to our feet and light to show us the path.

Those who trivialize the word find themselves in darkness without hope of eternal life. The word of God is made available to us to feed on for our spiritual nourishment. Jesus expects us to feed on the word and that is why He says that man cannot live by bread alone, but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The word of God is a purifier when taken into our hearts.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, feed me with the word of life.
CHALLENGE
The word of God is a purifier.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
