Topic: God Hears.
Text: Psalms 86:1-7
1(A Prayer of David.) Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
2Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Message
Think about having a friend who is always there for you, no matter what. Whenever you want to talk, he is ready and excited to listen. Well, guess what? That’s exactly how God is! Emily saved up her allowance to buy a special toy she had been dreaming of for weeks. Excitedly, she went to the toy store with her piggy bank in her hand. When she arrived, she met Sarah, a salesperson with a warm smile. Sarah listened carefully as Emily explained what she was looking for, nodding and asking questions to make sure she understood perfectly.

With Sarah’s help, Emily found exactly what she wanted and left the store filled with joy and grateful for Sarah who gave her attention and help. She could not wait to go home and play with her new toy. Just like Sarah who listened attentively to Emily’s request, God always hears and listens to us when we talk to Him. When friends of Jesus cry out to God, He responds and answers our prayers. It is wonderful to have a friend like Jesus Who is always there to listen and help.
PRAYER: God, help me to always look up to You for help at all times.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)

4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
