DCLM Sincere Milk 27 December 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God is Powerful
Topic: God is Powerful
Text: 1Chronicles 29:11-13
11Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
Key Verse: “Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11
Message
Jane was singing as she played on her piano, “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there’s nothing my God cannot do!” Her grandmother smiled as she listened.
When Jane stopped singing, her grandmother said, “I love your song; it was simple, yet powerful. Always think of the fact that there is nothing and no one greater than God.” God’s power is immeasurable, heaven and earth with all its creatures are testimonies of the greatness of God’s power.

He is Omnipotent, this means He is the all-powerful. When God created the world, He spoke and everything came into existence. He is omniscient. This means He knows all things. He knew us before we were born. God knows the details of everything around us. He is omnipresent because He is everywhere. He knows our going out and coming in. He sees all that we do both in the secret and open. God has power over all things at all times, in all ways. Therefore, surrender your life to Him and enjoy the benefits He has provided through His mighty power.

Prayer for today: I worship You, Lord, because You are the Almighty.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
