DCLM Sincere Milk 26 June 2025 — God’s Hand Is Not Short
DCLM Sincere Milk 26 June 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God’s Hand Is Not Short
Topic: God’s Hand Is Not Short
Text: Isaiah 59:1-4
1Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
Key Verse: “Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:” Isaiah 59:1
Message
David lived in a small town with green fields and tall trees. One sunny day, he was playing with his friends in a field near their house. Suddenly, David tripped over a hidden tree root and hurt his knee badly. Calling out for help, he realized his friends were too far away to hear him. Feeling scared and alone, he cried out loud for help. A hunter who had been nearby heard David’s cries and rushed over to help him. He pulled him up and made sure he was okay.

This story reminds us that just as the hunter helped David, God’s hand is always there for us. It is strong and full of love, ready to assist us during difficult moments. Even when we feel alone, we can have faith that God is with us, providing comfort and encouragement. Have you ever felt like no one was listening when you needed help? As a friend of Jesus, remember God’s hand is always there offering us comfort and strength in time of need! All you need to do is cry unto Him in faith and sincere prayers.

Prayer for today: Give me the grace Lord, to always trust and depend on You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
