Topic: Help For The Wise
Text: Proverbs 9:9-12
9Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
12If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Key Verse: “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” Proverbs 9:9
Message
Every new experience in life is a school and a teacher, so, seize the opportunity to learn new things when it comes. Just make sure you position yourself in the right place at the right time and with the right person or persons. The right place is in the presence of God where His word is taught always. The right time is now – behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

The right people are other friends of Jesus, leaders, teachers, boys and girls who are real Christians. They are sent by God to help you on your journey to heaven. Do not despise or ignore them, just obey their godly instructions. The angel of God sent Philip to the Ethiopian eunuch to explain the scriptures he was reading to him. He listened to Philip, understood the scriptures, became saved and was baptized in water. (Acts 8:39). Do not ignore God’s presence, His messengers and His message.

Prayer for today: Lord, please give me the humble heart to accept the help You send to me from Your servants.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
